Maison Sessana is a white house with clean lines, all to yourselves, in the countryside between Ostuni and Ceglie Messapica. It is surrounded by olive trees, oaks, dry-stone walls and the quiet of the contrada; Ostuni's centre is a quarter of an hour's drive away and the sea just over twenty minutes. It sleeps up to 4 guests, and your pet is welcome too.

The house is contemporary in style: white volumes, smooth walls, light floors and large openings onto the greenery. It covers 60 m². The living room is the heart of the house: a large picture window opens it onto the veranda and the trees, with a sofa bed that can be made up as two single beds or a double, two wood-and-rush armchairs, a desk with a lamp, a table for two and a stereo. The kitchenette, with a wooden worktop, has a sink, fridge, small electric oven, an electric hotplate on a mobile trolley, a kettle and crockery. A small hallway leads to the bedroom, with a double bed, an antique dressing table with mirror, a clothes rail and a French window with curtains, and to the bathroom with shower, washbasin, toilet and washing machine. There are fans in the living room and the bedroom.

Outside, the covered veranda is the real dining room: a long wooden table with chairs, a deckchair and a view of the olive trees. On the side of the house there is a small terrace with a low wall and a deckchair; from here an outdoor masonry staircase leads up to the roof terrace. The garden, with oaks, olive trees and dry-stone walls, has deckchairs in the shade for the hottest hours. There is also a compost bin for organic waste in the garden.

Guests have exclusive use of the house, the veranda, the side terrace, the roof terrace, the garden and the parking on the property. The storeroom under the house is locked and not accessible to guests.

We are available before your arrival and throughout your stay, also on WhatsApp, for anything you need and for tips on beaches, restaurants and villages. We only come onto the property when necessary, and always with advance notice.

The house is in Contrada Sessana, in the countryside south-west of Ostuni towards Ceglie Messapica, among olive groves, oaks and dry-stone walls. Ostuni's white old town and Ceglie Messapica, known for its food, are a few minutes' drive away. The beaches of the Ostuni coast, such as Rosa Marina, Villanova and Costa Merlata, are just over twenty minutes away. Cisternino, Locorotondo, Martina Franca and Alberobello, with its UNESCO World Heritage trulli, make easy day trips.

You will need a car: the house is in the countryside and there is free parking on the property. The last stretch is a dirt road, which you reach through a gate with a code. The house is about 7 km from Ostuni's old town and from Ceglie Messapica, about 10 km from Ostuni railway station, 15-18 km from the beaches, about 45 km from Brindisi airport and about 100 km from Bari airport, which you can reach by taxi or rental car.

House rules
Check-in is from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm, at our reception or in person at the house.
If you arrive after 8:00 pm, you can collect the keys free of charge from the key box at our reception, or we can welcome you at the house until 11:00 pm for a €30 fee.
Check-out is by 10:00 am. At check-in, Italian rental law requires a valid ID and the signing of the rental agreement.
The house has no air conditioning and no TV.
It is not suitable for small children: the veranda has no railing and at one point is about 2 m above the ground, the indoor staircase to the storeroom has no handrail, and the roof terrace is reached by an outdoor staircase.
Nor is it suitable for guests with reduced mobility.
Pets are welcome for a €50 cleaning fee.
Smoking is not allowed indoors, and we ask guests to sort their waste for recycling before check-out, following the instructions provided.
The tourist tax is €2 per person per night and is paid through the online check-in.
